Air Travel - Those traveling by air can fly into the following airports:
Sonoma County Airport in Santa Rosa, Oakland International Airport and San Francisco International Airport. The Sonoma County Airport is 2 miles from Windsor High School (location of packet pickup, T2 and the finish line) while Oakland and San Francisco airports are 77 miles from Windsor High School. The Sonoma County Airport is serviced by Horizon Air which has direct flights from Portland, Seattle, Los Angeles and Las Vegas as well as connecting service from other parts of the U.S.
Horizon Air is offering discount travel for Vineman athletes. Enter code ECCMT1382 for the July 18th Vineman 70.3 event. Enter code ECCMT1383 for the July 31st Full Vineman event.
Other airport options, though a bit farther away would be Sacramento International Airport (SMF) which is approximately 115 miles from Windsor and San Jose Internationa Airport (SJC) which is 105 miles from Windsor.
Airport Shuttles - If you need transportation from the airport to Santa Rosa please look into Sonoma County Airport Express, www.airportexpresssinc.com They have buses that leave from both the San Francisco and Oakland airports.
Ridesharing - Need a ride to the event? Have room for someone else in your car? ***Sonoma County is a popular destination during the summer months and there are other events taking place on the same weekends as the Vineman races so please book your accomodations as soon as possible to guarantee the hotel and rooms that you want. ***
Accomodations - With regards to best locations we advise staying in Windsor, Northern Santa Rosa, Healdsburg or Guerneville.
Hampton Inn & Suites Sonoma County, located in Windsor, approximately 1 mile from the finish line. This is a brand new hotel with 116 rooms. You should contact them directly at 707-837-9355 or go to their website to book rooms. (there are a limited number of rooms at the Vineman rate so be sure to book as early as possible)
PLEASE NOTE: There is a 3 night minimum for the Hampton Inn & Suites.

Another hotel that is located in Windsor is the Holiday Inn Express, www.sonomahi.com/. Although Vineman does not have special rates with the hotel their rates are reasonable and is nearest the finish line (approx 1/2 mile).
Do you have a large group or lots of family coming along? The Flying Cloud Retreat is a great option. Located along the Vineman course, this home can accomodate up to 12 people and has a pool and hot tub. Just a reminder that the finish line/T2 and packet pickup are in Windsor and the closest towns are Healdsburg and Santa Rosa. The swim start is in Guerneville and the closest towns are Forestville and Monte Rio.
