For the eighth consecutive year we will be offering a 12 week training program created specifically for the Vineman race course(s). These programs will be designed for the beginner or intermediate long course athlete allowing you to take the guesswork out of your training. Over the last seven years these programs have proved quite valuable for those that have needed guidance and detailed information while preparing for the Vineman events.
The programs are designed by Half Vineman and Full Vineman veteran Dave Latourette. A USAT "Expert Level" Coach and USA Triathlon All-American, Dave is a multiple Ironman and two time Hawaii Ironman World Championship finisher. Each program will have daily instructions regarding the discipline(s) to train in, duration of the training session, intensity of the training session, plus information specific to tapering and resting for the race. Along with your training program you will receive additional information e-mails that have details relative to long course racing nutrition, Vineman course specifics, Sonoma County climate, special tips regarding the week of training you are currently in, and race day strategy. The best part of the programs is that they are affordable and specific to the Vineman courses.
The program will be emailed out in three, 4 week blocks with the first one being sent out the week before the program begins.
An informational email will be sent out on March 1 (or shortly after you register if you sign up after March 1). This email will tell you where you should be in regards to training, when the program starts.
The 12 week programs are $95 and can be purchased separately from your race registration.
